Our first art lesson focused on Rosa Bonheur and her love to combine animals and beautiful landscapes. After discussing the difficult life of Rosa Bonheur as a female artist and the techniques she used in her paintings, the students created their own animal murals. Please stop by the hallway to enjoy their masterpieces.

** Although our students use art in both Language Arts and History, we have a special day each week designated for the teaching of various artists throughout history.  We use the Core Knowledge curriculum to guide our lessons, but also include various other types of art that the students love exploring.
