SPPAT COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

After School Sports        
Tracy Tindall, Chair     
Assists the Chairperson(s) in the organization of after school sports including cross country, soccer, basketball, and track.  May include working admissions, selling snacks, lining fields, distributing uniforms, etc.  The teams are limited to 4th and 5th graders only.

Auction
Mick and Gray Bagby and Danny and Susan Philpott, Chairs
Plan the auction and solicit merchandise and services.  Work the day of the auctino to set-up and decorate, check-in/check-out attendees, monitor bidding activities, pack up auction site, solicit food and beverage providers (Usually held in February or March).

Book Fair
Mandy Massengale, Chair
Plan the Book Fair, assist with the sale of books, record sales, etc. (late November - early December)

Buildings and Grounds
Stephen Godbehere, Chair
Mark Henry, Co-Chair
Work with the school office to plan Work Days (usually two per year).  Maintain outdoors as needed, including landscaping, playgrounds and parking lots.

Community Outreach
Assist chairman in planning and implementing outreach activities in which the students can participate.

Corporate Fundraising
Tona Munday Brinn, Chair
Assist the chairpersono in organization and collections including Box Tops for Kids, Bi-Lo Boosters, etc.

Field Day
Tiffany Godbehere and Joanna Henry, Co-Chairs
Plan school family picnic, arrange facilities, develop and supervise activities, etc.

Gardening
Sarah Richey, Chair
Plant, weed, water and maintain Emily's garden, the areas across from the flagpole and large planters at teh school entrance.

Golf Tournament
Christy Cooper and Andrea Odle, Chairs
Tara Hogue and Julie Saunders, Co-Chairs
Plan the spring golf tournament, solicit prizes, recruit golfers and sponsors, work at tournament, monitor hole prizes, solicit food and beverages.

Homeroom Parents
Melissa Loyd, Chair

Hospitality
Dana Jones, Chair
Joanna Henry, Co-Chair
Plan and prepare refreshments, including set-up and clean-up for SPPAT/school related events and committee meetings.

Library
Assist with organization of school library, provide clerical help, readers, etc.

Lunch Servers
Allyson Arrington, Chair
Work one day per month from 11:30-1:00 assisting in serving lunch to the students in the cafeteria line.

Magazine Sale
Andria Barnett, Christy Wilson and Christy Wilson, Chairs
Assist with September sale, process orders and money, award prizes, etc., generally during school hours.

Photo Fundraiser
Rebecca Owens, Chair
Assist the photographer, organize and hang photographs, process orders and money, etc. Usually held in the fall.

Teacher Appreciation
Courtney Garland, Chair
Takisha Haynie, Co-Chair
Organize and implement activities to recognize St. Peter's teachers throughout the school year.  Must be able to work December or May luncheons.

Used Uniform Sale
Rita Smith and Patricia Stamper, Chairs
Develop and design sale procedures, plan and set-up used uniform sale, work at sale (usually held fall and spring).
