Connecting with the Great Outdoors in Support of the School's Mission 

Outdoor education is essential to the St. Peter's experience. The Trailwise program allows children to explore interdisciplinary concepts through nature's classroom in collaboration with Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center. Additionally, students make connections with nature's classroom through place-based experiential learning opportunities at The Great Smoky Mountains Institute at Tremont and Kanuga's Mountain Trail Outdoor School. The basic goals of all the experiences and trips are for students to learn about themselves, others, and the world around them, as well as to work together and care for each other.
